Bashfulness
Looking back
I recall a time
When I myself
Was very shy
I never talked
Until someone talked to me
I uttered only a few words
Afraid of the person I called me
Afraid to see the truth
Afraid to be myself
Then I awoke
And realized the truth
That I could get out
And see the light
And get out of the rut
And become more outgoing
And no longer be alone
And now I’m free
And that’s the way to be
